How to use our dashi broth packet

We offer a variety of ways to use our dashi packets to bring out rich, authentic flavor in your cooking.
The great thing about dashi packets is that anyone can easily make real, high-quality dashi at home.

“Basic dashi broth preparation”
To make a basic dashi broth, use 1 packet with 400ml (13.5 fl oz) to 500ml (17 fl oz) of water. This light, flavorful broth is perfect for dishes where the taste of dashi is meant to shine.

① Place 1 dashi packet in 400 to 500ml of room-temperature water and bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat. Starting with room-temperature water helps extract the umami more effectively.

② Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, gently stirring the packet occasionally. The key is to simmer gently without bringing it to a full boil.

③ Remove the dashi packet and enjoy your flavorful broth.
