【Light Dashi Broth (Basic Style)】
Place one dashi packet in a pot with 500ml (about 17 fl oz) of water. Gently stir the packet with chopsticks about five times. Once the water starts to boil, reduce to medium heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Then remove the packet.
This light dashi broth pairs well with simmered dishes, boiled tofu, mixed rice, and more.

Tear open the dashi packet and add the contents directly to your dish for an extra boost of umami flavor.
